I'm told that much of the knowledge we currently possess is due to the scientific method, yet the knowledge it provides changes all the time, so how can I trust it. For instance, last year I read that the earth was 4.542 billion years old, however just yesterday I read it was 4.543 billion years old! That may seem like a minor variance, but when we are talking about numbers as large as these, that .001% ends up being something like 42 hundred million and a half billion years (math is not my strong suit, you may want to double check those numbers). It seems to me they can't get their story straight, but this is typical of science
I'm still not convinced we even need science. I don't read any science whatsoever yet I'm very knowledgeable about the world around me. For instance, I've never been to space nor looked through a telescope, but I still know it's cold out there, the stars are just puncture holes in a giant black curtain, and the moon is a dumping ground for alien waste products. Most people intuitively know theses things without having to be informed by some nerdy virgin in glasses and lab coat. So when I'm told obvious nonsense that contradicts what I know to be true, how can I be expected to trust it?
I remember watching that ridiculous "Cosmos" TV show, which was filled from pathetic start to moronic finish with scientific bunk. It was obviously a diabolical attempt to discredit religion and in particular Christian institutions and their leaders. Sure, the Catholic church is run by old pedophiles dressed like wizards who would rather be screwing children than reading the bible, but is this any reason to treat them so unfairly?
One reason I know Cosmos was a complete farce is because they continually suggested that stars are millions of light years away, which is impossible. There's not a single star that is more than 6,000 light years away. How can I prove that? Because time has only existed for the last 6,000 years, so anything further away than that simply can't exist. There's not a single star that is more than 6,000 light years away, and anyone reading the bible is very aware of that.
Which is another major complaint I have in regards to science, all it seems to care about is disproving the bible. Again and again I see facts contained in the bible attacked by pseudo intellectual dweeb's who make unfounded accusations against obvious truths no reasonable person would debate. How can they possibly claim Moses never parted the Red Sea? How else do they think the Israelites crossed such a large body of water, boogie board? If God never stopped the sun in the sky, how exactly did Joshua defeat his enemies, noogies and wedgies? The very idea is preposterous.
Maybe if the scientists themselves could get on the same page with one another I would have an easer time taking what they said seriously, for instance, Stephen Hawkins believes peanut butter is delicious whereas Neil DeGrasse Tyson thinks it tastes like a sweaty foot. Richard Dawkins likes to take cold showers while James Watson is afraid the cold water will shrink his already diminutive penis. Who am I supposed to believe in these cases? Its all a matter of opinion.
And what about the horrors created by science that have caused the death of millions? Who invented dynamite? Scientists. Who created pesticides? Scientists. Drugs like PCP and methamphetamine? You guessed it, Scientists. What about Godzilla and the Incredible Hulk? Okay, I know they're not actually real, but if they were you can bet it wouldn't be the Make A Wish Foundation that caused it.
So when they tell you these lies, don't believe it. Everything that flows from their mouth is pure drivel, and we have a very simple standard by which to compare what they tell us with reality, the bible. If it goes against what the bible teaches us you can bet your harry, unwashed ass it's a lie. Just remember, when it comes to contradicting God's word in any way, I don't care how much evidence they may produce, or even if you see it with your own eyes, its nothing more than a dirty lie meant to lead you away from God and straight into the rectum of Satan, and this is not a place you want to be, trust me on this one, I've been in his rectum before and still can't wash off the smell.
